Sigh....tell me that someone knows this "traditional" tune. Only info i have, is, was found in a fiddle book by Dr. D.H. Morris, of Saint Joseph, Missouri. And of course, would love it all......lyrics, chords, and tadpoles. Thanks ever so much, all. gypsy

Unfortunately, no music or lyrics were found. However, "Muddy Creek" was played by Norman Blake & Peter Ostroushko on A PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION (October 13, 2001) (Click on 1:17:12). Some info is HERE (from The Fiddler's Companion).

Is Muddy Creek the same as Muddy River? Muddy River is a name sometimes used for a fiddle tune I play called "Salt Creek" or "Salt River".

I also have two short lyrics collected for Muddy River.

Let me know,

Richie
