My cousin Rufus who lives back up in the holler in his half a double wide with his wife Retha May told CBS to 'Stuck it" when CBS offered him the starring role in their upcoming virtual show, "The Beverly Hillbillys". Man, can you believe that. Yeah, CBS was gonna fly Rufus and Retha May, Retha's May's brother Tim Timpkins and his 16 year old wife and their two kids, Nipper and Tuck and Retha's mom, Granny Pearl to Los Angelos, put 'em all up in a mansion with gobs of cash and maids *but* Rufus, who ain't Menza material, blew the deal. Yeah, all these folks had to do was drive around in BMW's, eat in fancy resturants, be waited on day and night while CBS filmed 'em enjoyin' themselves for a year. But do you think my brainless cousin could just say, "Fine, leys get it on!" Heck no, he couldn't! He has to go and tell the CBS folks that if he couldn't take his 1981 Chevy Chevettewith them to drive out in California, then it was no deal and CBS told ol' Rufe the Goof to have a nice life, or something along those lines.. Danged idiot! Man, I thought I'd get a chance to visit and enjoy a little pamperin' my own self. So folks, chalk up another one to that useless hillbilly. Well, folks. I reckon CDS is still looking so I'd suggest that if they knock on your door and you got a Chevette in the backyard, I wouldn't bring it up. Did I say, *Danged*? No? Well Danged!!!! Bobert |

From: GUEST,Taliesn Man , that's got to be *the* most indelible "Scarlet Letter " Tatoo from head to toe and back up the rear to be wearing for the rest one's natural life at *every* , and I mean , every gathering of kin & friends . Man , you ever want to win an argument with him just threaten to publish his picture on the internet. I mean there'd a been dignity over it being over some principal, but , Dag nabit , over a Chevette? Not Corvette ,but Chevette. Brother Bobert, "Dang" just don't even come close. That's a "See ya in the next life" moment before that slate's ever wiped clean again.

This us about a bad a thing that I think the knuclehead has ever done. But what can I expect from a guy who lives in half a double wide. (And don't ask where the other half is 'cause its a privatre family matter that makes the CBS thing a little more digestable...) Yo, Bagoist. The way I hear it, CBS is limited their search to West Virginia, Kentucy and Tennessee so if ya' don't live in one of those sates then don't expect a knoeck at the door from 'em. Well, now that I've had a day to settle down I think the whole idea of such a show is purdy danged disgusting, but I'll watch an episode or two just for grins... Bobert |
