Two questions: one, is there a database anywhere of songs about the WTC? I know of two, the "kiss my royal Irish ass" one, and the "going on up right to Heaven" one - are there others?

And wasn't there a story about a Sinn Fein guy who'd been on his keeping and turned up in hospital or something? I can't track it down and want it for an intro, among a bunch of other stories.

Some one may want to do the blue clicky thing for you. I have three songs on Mudcat that are 9/11 related. Engine 33 and Election day have both gotten radio play, and an alternitive to the Kiss my etc. song is my song Scales of Revenge, found within the last three days on Mudcat under the post "New Song Old Tune (old story)" the second verse is about 9/11 the rest is about what came before and after. Cheers Larry

I know of two men given up for dead in the terrorist attack on the WTC who turned up months later in hospitals. I don't know if either is "a Sinn Fein guy." Here's an article (from this page: http://abcnews.go.com/sections/us/DailyNews/missingman020827.html):

Feared Dead, Found Alive
Two Men on 9/11 Missing List Found Alive in Hospital

Aug. 27 — Two men feared dead and reported missing after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks have been found alive in New York-area hospitals.

Hospital officials called the family of George V. Sims, 46, earlier this month and said they believed Sims was a patient there, but that they needed a photograph to confirm their suspicions, the family said. "He's alive, but he's not in the best of health," his mother, Anna Sims, told the Newark Star-Ledger. "When I saw him, he did not know me. He did not know his daughter. He did not know his brother." Sims was diagnosed with amnesia and schizophrenia. His mother did not disclose the hospital where he is recovering.

Another man, Albert Vaughan, 45, of Brooklyn, has also been removed from the list of missing and dead. Family members said Vaughan was homeless at the time of the attacks and was spending time in subway stations in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Relatives reportedly last saw Vaughan in the subway station below the World Trade Center about a month before Sept. 11. However, after the attacks, family members did not see Vaughan. Shortly after the attacks, they reported him missing and did not know his whereabouts until about two months ago when officials at a New York hospital contacted them. Vaughan has since been transferred to the Rockland Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg, N.Y. "Tell everyone I'm alive and in good health," said Vaughan, who told The Associated Press that he has no recollection of his whereabouts on Sept. 11 and did not realize his family feared he was dead. It is unclear how Vaughan wound up in the hospital.

New York city officials said there are several other cases like those of Vaughan and Sims. The current list of the overall missing and dead has 2,819 names, but authorities expect to release a revised list next week.

Sims had been listed as "reported missing" on an Associated Press list of 694 victims from New Jersey just last week because there was no verification other than his family's missing persons report that Sims died at the World Trade Center. Family members said they believed Sims was selling things near the twin towers on Sept. 11, and reported him missing on Oct. 7 after he failed to turn up.

Sims' precise location the day of the attacks is unknown, as are the details on how he ended up at the hospital. He hopes he regains his memory. "If God brought him this far back to me, he will come back the rest of the way. It will take time," Anna Sims said. "I am just grateful he is alive. God worked a miracle."

IF.... Sinn Fein were in the WTC ...is there a possible British connection to the attack?

Is that supposed to be a joke, GUEST?

What does "on his keepings" mean anyway?

Not synonymous with "on the blanket", but related, eh?
