Help: Searching problems again

From: GUEST,JTT

Sorry about this. I asked a few weeks ago for advice on where to get a concertina valued in Dublin. Got a lot of nice answers, and told the person who'd asked me to find out where he could look online to see them.

I met him in the park again yesterday, and he said that he couldn't access the internet, and could I print out the information and send it to him.

But when I tried to search for the thread, the latest thread shown was June 2000. Can someone help me, please?

How did you search? I did a search (by clicking on your name Guest, JTT) and found this thread Concertina Valuation

I'm guessing you searched on the word concertina. As you may have seen in previous threads, the Supersearch won't work for very recent threads (ie six months). So, the best way to look something up for something within the last few weeks would be to look up a name of someone you know contributed to the thread.

Then find a thread with that person's name and click on that person's name from within the thread. It gives you a list of ALL the threads that name has been posting to.

Thanks, George. Actually, I also posted to some help forum, somewhere within Mudcat to ask about registration problems - I registered long ago, but have forgotten my password - and now can't find that either. Ach!

I can't find that one either. Don't know what happened to that. I see that Guest, JTT has been here for a bit over two and a half years, and has about 500 messages to your fame.

"Searching problems again": is that the same as 'Researching problems' ? (Boom boom)
