BS: Peg on the BBC

Just want to let the UK Mudcatters know that I will be interviewed on BBC radio this coming Wednesday between 4-4:30 pm. (That's 10-10:30 AM for ESTers on the internet!) Not sure if it will be available online but I hope so. Radio Cornwall is the program, Chris Blount is the interviewer. I wrote a poem for a Gorsedd competition about a stone circle in Cornwall and it won the Morris Cup for its division. (English verse about a Cornish subject). And for whatever reason they wanna interview me!

Cool, huh.

I am blesse

Thomas, the poem is not yet published anywhere so I am leery of putting it out there on the internet until I have found somewhere to get it printed, but I could email it to people privately I guess, until I know its fate!

Congrats, Peg!

Unfortunately, BBC Radio Cornwall (click 'ere)is a local radio station which can only be picked up by those in the immediate area (quote from above site: You can hear us on 103.9 FM in the west of the county, 95.2 in the east and 96 FM on the Isles of Scilly.) and appears not to be available online.

Well out of my range, I'm afraid- is there anyone local who could record it for you?

Site says that your interviewer Chris Blount was made a Cornish Bard for services to broadcasting in 1990.

yes, he said he would be at the Gorsedd this weekend...I guess as more than a journalist! I am going to ask if I can get a tape of it. It sounds like finding it on the Net may not be possible...

the interview went well. I am going to see if I can get a tape or a wav file. The Gorsedd Kernow is this coming weekend and I think the public are welcome to attend... I will go next year for the 75th anniversary! Maybe with another winning entry if the muse smiles on me again...

thanks for the support everyone,

Peg
