Apparently there are sessions at the Norman King on Church St. or the Wheatsheaf on High St. North, both on Saturday afternoon from 12pm - 3pm ish. AnyCat going? BTW, Dunstable is in Bedfordshire, UK. |

I especially liked Hamish and Lorna, missed the Flat Martins though. And what a great do in St. Albans, hats off to Breezy! Willy

09 Sep 02 - 03:31 PM (#779920) Subject: RE: Dunstable Folk & Dance Festival From: Piers The Guru is quite correct Hamish, I am the one of those lucky people who graduated from U. of Aberdeen. Didn't we decide there was the possibility that you were my father? It's true, I like the way you do those old trad. songs with a modern feel, but still retaining what's good about the old songs. You've had enough compliments from me now See you around Willy |

I'm not anyone's Guru & am beginning to feel quite embarrased about my choice of CatName & thinking of changing it. As you know, my name originates from a song I sing. I call it 'And anyway my guru always said no!', because that's one of the lines in the song. I don't know what the real title is but I've heard it from a 1977 '45' record made by Joanna Carlin aka Melanie Harrold. Sorry to waffle......

You know me, I have no Gods, no Gurus and I bow in deference only to reason and rationality. I may have to make a comeback with my real name (without the embarassing part). Willy |
