Evenin!

Does anyone know when the next Tuesday session is at the Sun Inn in Beverley? I've heard it's every fortnight but I'm not sure if there's one next week (10th Sept).

Cheers,

Hannah

Should be next week if I read the winds correctly. We run a session on the alternate Tuesday, in Hessle, and we got a "sound thrashing" (i.e. a gentle reminder)from Sir Roger 10 days ago cos we got out of step due to Whitby. PM Sir Roger de Beverley and I am sure he will advise.

How did it go? Unfortunately I couldn't get to either the Sun session or the Sloop session as I was Dead.

The Sloop session was excellent for those enthusiastic musicians who so valiantly played every tune in whatever key they bloody well liked. And at what competitive volume! Last week we soared, this week we dived. You were better off dead, John!

Colin and Karen provided some really beautiful songs, prompting someone to try out every one of their full chromatic set of harmonicas for 8 exploratory bars each. Thankfully, his frustration ended when Colin and Karen finally finished, allowing the session to attend to more pressing matters. Heigh ho.

It was nice, there was 25 musicians there, there was an acccordian, a mellydeon, 2 concertinas, 5 mandolins, 5 fiddles, 6 gitars a banjo and some whistles, the sun is a good pub , it is a listing building, and they have got a bear garden.john

Oakers, is the person who picked up my watch at Goxhill last night a kind soul or a thieving bastard?

Sorry for scuttling out without sticking my tongue in your ear, but I made it home in time to mount a successful charge on buying that boat on Ebay. So we can have boat jollity on the northern Riviera. That'll be good.

Congrats on the boat Gary. Inspired by you, I sucessfully bid on a US Navy icebreaker in light grey. I'll meet you at the northern Riviera next week about tea-time.

You may have been the victim of crime, or an act of kindness. Have you spoken to the landlord? My guess is it's in his safekeeping unless he's a bad person. I'll get jOhn, rub him up and down on the suspect and wait for the colour change. If jOhn goes red, he can watch out.

It was a relaxing session and Smallpiper has become another of my heros. Doesn't Nicky snuffle enchantingly?

Unfortunately for me, it has been handed in to the Police (Branches throughout Barrow), so I'll probably have to fill in copious amounts of forms before the Whistles Division will release it.

It was a lovely time after the rigours of Tuesday, forsooth.

I turned down the icebreaker due to global warming. But I'm sure you'll find it useful. For assignations with Sireen.

I am going to turn the icebreaker into a floating pub, anchor it next to the Humber bridge and publicise music sessions in it every night.

Then I'll change my mind and ban sessions in it on the basis that the dirges are putting the punters off. I will then take delivery of 4 stones of sprouts and scatter them in the toilets. (There are 20). In retaliation, I will scuttle her off Read's Island and return to the farm a little wiser.

I can't get Nicky's snuffling out of my head and am wondering whether E Bay was a good suggestion of yours, Gary.
