19 Sep 02 - 02:56 AM (#787264) Subject: new member From: jim100_1 Hello everybody. My name is Jim, and I am a brand new member of what seems to be a great website. Are there any members here from the Seattle, Washington area? I have just moved to Seattle close to two months ago. I understand it is a wonderful place to listen to a lot of folk and Blues music. I enjoy folk music a lot; although, I am somewhat new to the genre. I've only been into it big time a few years, but I learn a lot every day and really hope to talk to folks who share this interest with me. I am also a beginning guitar player who is now learning to play for the sheer enjoyment of playing music. Again, hopefully I will be able to correspond with people sharing the same interest. I look forward to getting to know several of you and to be a general part of mudcat. Feel free to email me or send me any messages, and I will be glad to respond. Again, if there are any folks from the Seattle area, I'd definitely love to hear from you. Take care, Jim |

Lovely part of the world altogether. And heading east the view when you come over Buckhaw Brow is brilliant. Awful about foot-and-mouth though, wasnt it?That "Sheepless in Settle" movie brought home the tragedy to a lot of people. Welcome to Mudcat. |

It's been a while. I enjoyed the city though. The land of Kurt Cobain. Welcome to Mudcat! I'm sure you'll enjoy it... Jerry in Connecticut |

I'm afraid I've not been to Seattle, but, as some of us do, base our expirience of a place from a television programme. I believe Frasier is a Seattle based sit-com? Welcome again. |

19 Sep 02 - 10:25 AM (#787460) Subject: RE: BS: new member From: catspaw49 Hi Jim and Welcome to the 'Cat. WE have quite a few members out your way, both in Seattle and in the Northwest as well. They have had several Mudcat gatherings and it's a great group of some terrific folks. If they don't check in here, start a thread titled "Looking for Seattle Members" or Northwest US Members or something to that effect. As far as the "new member" goes, I'm quite satisfied with my old member which is still functioning pretty well. Spaw |

All the best, kat |

If it is not inappropriate to ask, can someone tell me if this gentlemen is sane or not? He seems quite persverant in his obsession to expose himself, metaphorically speaking. Thanks in advance, Calumny |
