Anyone who knows the lyrics of a song called Molly lovely Molly, that I once heard Emily Smith sing. First line - as I recall it - says "I once was a ploughboy", and the lines "the mavis and the turtledoves and the nightingale sing" end two verses.

I have this song on a recording by singing group Stravaig, there they sing:
O Molly, Lovely Molly, I delight in your charms

It's a cracker of a song...
I thought it'd be in the DT too, but I couldn't find it...

Thank you - Drumshanty, Scabby Doug and Malcolm. It is the song!
I managed to get most of the lyrics by listening to a Emely Smith recording of the song - but a few words I couldn't guess, and they are not in my word book. Off course you can sing the sounds you hear - only a very few Danes would notice, if it is wrong - but I prefere to understand what I'm singing.
