BS: Walrus (No Longer) at Work

From: The Walrus at work

Just to let people know.
As of Tuesday 1st October, I will be redundant (it still hurts to say it) so, after Monday week, the Walrus will no longer be "The Walrus at Work", I'll still be around, but probably less frequently and at different hours.
I'm going to have to make the most of the time I have left.

Regards

Walrus

Sorry to hear the news Walrus - Unfortunately it's happened to me a few times.

But remember keep fighting, and a tip, get others to read/proof your CV's before they go off.

No such thing as a redundant Walrus. The world needs more Walruses!

Well I have just snailed a video so there is something to occupy you Walrus old chap.
Otherwise as a metalurgist I guess you will just have to steel yourself.
Not that I am going anywhere - just did 10 days work and I am supposed to be greatful for it.

Well, the Christmas thing is fast approaching, so if you want to run your feet off and be treated like a minion, there's always that... I always wanted to be the person in Hamleys who gets to demonstrate the toys.

If you have the Walrus facial adornements, you could always be a Santa..... you don't even have to touch the little darlings now....

...so sorry for everyone who has recently been laid off. At my age, I'm sure the only reason I'm still working is that I work for myself. At least if I don't eat, the blame lies squarely on me and not some heartless mega-corporation.

I wish you all better luck this week and in the future. Don't take it personally and get out there and pound the pavement before you get too depressed. Or if you are brave and foolhearty like me, start your own business. It isn't that difficult if you have a good idea.
