21 Sep 02 - 06:32 AM (#788441) Subject: RE: New Music Session in Hull From: Oaklet I'll try to get there with as many from the furniture-smashing woad-bedaubed naked bassssoooonists I can entice from the Sloop session in Barton. Is the landlord at the George any better disposed towards Smallpliers's dirges than the besprouted one at the Hase? |
21 Sep 02 - 06:42 AM (#788442) Subject: RE: New Music Session in Hull From: smallpiper Ah David my bouy I can see that you are heading for rough water! He hasn't heard my dirges as yet so how can anyone know? How's the arthritis? |
21 Sep 02 - 06:48 AM (#788444) Subject: RE: New Music Session in Hull From: Oaklet Sorry Smallpliers. jOhn's report about his conversation with the landlady in the Hase nearly made me wet myself. Particularly the bit about the dirges and the customers who checked that there was no music on before committing themselves to an evening in the pub. Then I thought of you and had finally had to change my trousers. I am laughing like a drain whilst I write this. No offence meant, old friend. |
21 Sep 02 - 10:04 AM (#788460) Subject: RE: New Music Session in Hull From: smallpiper None taken (well not much). But I've never heard a drain laugh! It should also be noted that one of the regulars who complained about the music (in particular the pipes) was one of the customers who asked (on a regular basis) for me to play a particular dirge on the pipes. Silly F'in cow. I'm not bitter but I wish sprouts on all of them! |
