21 Sep 02 - 03:18 PM (#788613) Subject: Songs inspired by Trains Thread From: Bullfrog Jones After reading This Thread I was inspired to write a train song, 'Ride The Rails' and when I went back to check the thread I found a post from Katlaughing which immediately inspired another train song, 'One Last Run'! I was particularly pleased about the second one as I'd wanted to write a song about my Dad for some time, but couldn't find the way into it. Thanks to Kat's post I found the angle I wanted. Anyway, I've uploaded rough demos of the songs, and if you'd like to check them out Click here This is more HTML than I've ever attempted before -- I hope it all works! BJ |

The other train song is Man of constant sorrow.Bowled over by the film. |

ONE LAST RUN
RIDE THE RAILS
TO JUMP THAT TRAIN AND RIDE AWAY
AND I SHOOK MY DADDY'S HAND
HE SAID DON'T CRY, 'COS BYE AND BYE
WE'LL MEET IN THE PROMISED LAND
WHERE A MAN MIGHT LIVE IN DIGNITY AND CAST HIS CARES AWAY
UPON THAT HAPPY DAY
I'M GONNA RIDE, RIDE THE RAILS INTO THE GOLDEN WEST |
