BS: Yo Doug!...Nader on C-Span...

Well, danged, my guy got more coverage in one night than he did in the entire 2000 campaign. So, Doug, did ya hear him? What do you think? Yeah, I know you want lots of folks to vote for him because by doing so it makes it easier for Bush to steal elections, but that's not what this is about...

What did you think about what Nader said tonight? Hmmmmm? Other folks, who took the time to hear him, are invited to post. I just used poor ol' Doug as the "symbol" of the Catpublicans...

If you didn't listen then save your trolling for elsewahere, thank you...

Hey Rev Bobert, see what I've been saying about C-Span. Complete ,uninterupted coverage with *no* commentary other than the speakers themselves.

I just happened to catch Nader's speech at the counter-globalization rally yesterday this morning and V-taped the last half of it. This goes into my v-tape library of complete Raplh Nader speeches and debates covered by *C-Span* including most of his Green Party appearances.

Now oyu have your proof that C-Span does honestly cover the fullest range of opinion *unedited* and *un-spun*.

That's why ,in the minds of many , C-Span is a national treasure for *informed* democracy.

Glad you finally saw what I've been talking about all along.

Yup, Taliesn, I was glad to see it and must confess to not watching much Television at all and just listen to C-Span usually on the way hom from work. I base my earlier *uninformed* observations on what I heard during those redio shows...

I was really hopin' tha my pal, Dougie, would listen to all of Nader's speech so I could ask him exactly which parts he didn't agree with but, hey, I purdy much know what he'd say: "The opening remarks., the closing and everything in between" Oh well, he's consistant...

I'm going down for the Peace march today. You going to be there?

The Rev.

OK Guys, Quit gossiping and tell us; what, exactly did Nader have to say?

Well, the last useful thing he had to say was "don't ride in a Corvair."

I often wonder why he didn't trash the VW bug; it is exactly the same design. Maybe he just had a hard on for GM?

About the only thing I disagree with Nader about is that the Corvair was a fine automobile, and it was perfectly safe unless someone drove like an idiot. Which, I guess, means it wasn't very safe. Great car in snow. It went while others sat there spinning their wheels.

Wish I'd known Nader was going to be on.

Durn, Bobert, I done missed that speech. I do watch CSpan but usually only when the House or Senate is in session.

It would not be fair of me to comment on a speech I did not hear, but it probably would be safe to say that if you were overwhelmed, I probably would have been underwhelmed.

If I do have an opportunity to hear a replay, I will listen with great interest, if for no other reason, than because one of my favorite targets for debate and discussion was so impressed.

Hey, now I'm gonna have to make a confession here but, until last year one of my prized possessions was a 1966 Covair Corsa with a 140 HP engind and a 4 speed. I loved the car but I love too many cars and have just sold off all but the last of my toys, which is a wonderful 1963 VW Karmann Ghia (thank you, Kendall...) which I rebuilt two years ago and is sweet. But no more Corvairs but this ani't got anything to do with Nader. Heym everyone is entitled to be wrong now and then....

But I am concerned about you, Dougie. Really. I think if you ever really listened to Nader you might be faced with one of those life changing experience which we don't need here at all. We need you just the way you are because you are like a base line of conservative thought, even if you are more a liberal than me with you and Junior wantin' to change lots of stuff...

But it was nice for Nader to get some air time. Heck, it was more time than he got during the entire election for that matter...
