I am having problems with Word and Outook, if I have to delete the computer "switches off" and then re-boots. cheers |

If you go to the Microsoft Knowledge Base and put in WindowsXP as the "system" with Office 2000 as the query, you will get quite a bit of stuff about Outlook migration problems. With a new installation on a new machine, everything should work ok except for some "privileges" settings that XP needs. As an example, XP won't want to let you "turn on" Outlook with only "user" permissions - you need Administrator aurthority(?). Other possiblity - you got peanut butter on the Ctl and Alt keys, so when you hit Del it tries to reboot??????? Or you're on a portable with a touch pad - everytime I reach for a key on one of those, the "mouse" goes haywire. John |
