I play in a lot of nursing homes in Southeast USA. Hers's my play list. What do you have on yours. Guitar, banjo, autoharp, fiddle.

Amazing Grace - Fiddle
Keep on the Sunnyside - Guitar
Pacabels in D minor - Autoharp.
Fly Around my pretty Little Miss - Banjo
Golden Slippers - Fiddle.
Farther Along - Guitar
It is No Secret - Guitar
Medley of I'll Fly Awy, Uncloudy Day, Somebody Touched Me - Guitar
Elizabeth's Waltz - Autoharp
Waiting for a train - Guitar
You Are my Sunshine - Guitar and harmonica
Ask for any requests for old songs. (Usually get hymnns).
May The Good Lord Bless and Keep You - Guitar

With a female singing partner, I'll add "When You Gonna Come see me?"

What's on your list?

Wilco, I was in a hurry yesterday, so I just refresed several older thread where folks talked about what they play for the seniors, instead of doing all the blue clickies. I hope that was of help.

Living in Scotland, our list might be a wee bit different. But now the folks in care homes are only a few years older than us, so no more 1st World War (even 2nd World War) songs! Bring on the 50s/60s pops, Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Everley Bros, etc, and for Scottish, think Andy Stewart, Jimmy Shand, Kenneth McKellar, etc.
