19 Oct 02 - 03:50 PM (#806837) Subject: Folk Leg ends Birthday Party Fleetwood From: clansfolk This is a open invitation to any folkies out there who will be in Fleetwood, Lancashire, England, next Thursday (24th October 2002) Kevin Wheelan that renown Fiddle who has played with many, many bands, including The Nashville Cats, The Alan Bell Band, Beer for Breakfast, Scuttlebugs etc... etc.... made his half century in August - the event passed unnoticed and Kevin didn't mention it to anyone (not even his Mum!!) It has been decided that the event should not go unoticed - so on Thursday 24th October 2002 - with Ian, the landlords help! there will be a "Surprise" party for Kevin at The Steamer Hotel, Dock Street, Fleetwood, Lancashire, England from 8pm to Midnight????. Everyone is welcome.... they'll be a PA and bands performing thoughout the evening (the pub has a PEL so no worrie there!!) - including.. "Spitting on a Roast" (Fleetwood Folk Club's Resident group who have kindly let the party take over their folk night) - "Scuttlebugs" & "Penny Black" plus who knows who'll turn up AND Ian the Landlord is putting on a FREE Hot Pot Supper!!! If you're in the area come along wish Kevin a "Happy Birthday" have a few drinks and enjoy what will be a Great Night of Music & Fun. |
