'Though I'm only seventeen, in the service of the Queen, I have never, ever been to sea. Oh, I love my tiddy oggie, and I love my figgy duff, And I always say "Good Morning" to the Chief, (Good Morning Chief) I wonder oh I wonder, did the writer make a blunder, When he made this draught chit out for me. I have been a Barrack Stanchion, and I've stayed in Jagoe's Mansion, But I've never, ever been to sea. Oh, I love my tiddy oggie etc. Ps. I am guessing at the title!! |

I went sleuthing with that on google and found that, according to this site: please click here, it is called I was only seventeen and is on Cyril Tawney's album of 20th century navy songs called Round the Buoy. Good luck finding the lyrics. Every search I did on the title on google came up with a bunch of pop stuff! Hope someone here will know it. kat |
