22 Oct 02 - 09:55 PM (#808980) Subject: BS: Mudchat Laryngitis From: Jerry Rasmussen I just spent five minutes in Mudchat, and Artbrooks and marie-aine were in the room. I got a nice "Hi, Jerry" from Art, and then five minutes of silence. When I tried to post greetings, and questions, I felt like I was talking underwater, it took so long for them to appear on the screen. Now, unless Art and marie were suddenly stricken with laryngitis, something must be going on again with Mudchat. Don't get me wrong! I only mention this because I enjoy Mudchat so much that it's a real disappointment when I can't get it working. Is there any value in these repeated threads, letting Max know that Mudchat is acting up? If there is, then I post this only with a desire to let you know what's happening, Max. If there isn't I'll just go in a corner and cry. Sniff, sniff.. Jerry |

The only way I got here was through a back door. I had a digitrad song bookmarked. I could access that and then get here. Go figure! k |

I don't think I've laughed that hard in months. Y'all are too, too much. |

24 Oct 02 - 12:03 AM (#809843) Subject: RE: BS: Mudchat Laryngitis From: maire-aine I was suddenly strangled. I got this strange message about my connection, and then I was out. And when I tried to log back in, I couldn't connect to that web-page, couldn't even get to the forum/threads page. So I gave up and went to bed. But, I have faith in Max and the rest of the techies. They'll get it fixed eventually. I'll wait. |

24 Oct 02 - 06:44 PM (#810525) Subject: RE: BS: Mudchat Laryngitis From: Stilly River Sage It is possible for two people to be in the room but speaking only to each other, if you look at the options over on the righthand side. I've done it myself. It must sound like silence to anyone else in there, and it is probably impolite to do it if everyone else is waiting for you to say something for too long. But it is useful for exchanging bits of information when you don't want to broadcast to everyone. SRS |
