Tech: Oct 26 I.E. opens threads, not Netscape

Is anyone else having this problem today? I can open Mudcat threads in an Explorer browser, but Netscape 4.7 gives me an error message if I try to open a thread.

ODBC Error Code = 37000 (Syntax error or access violation)

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]ntext data cannot be sent to clients using DB-Library (such as ISQL) or ODBC version 3.7 or
earlier.

it may just be timing!...Mudcat has been freezing off & on....either should work if there's no problems

I have MSIE and have been having problems all day. I figure Max or Jeff is screwing with something.

Right now,
I have to open threads in a separate window or it goes back to the New Message page I had at 10-something this morning. When I do open a thread in a new window, it times out.
If I hit "Refresh" it works just fine. (Now, I've taken to just hitting "Stop" then "Refresh."

Forget Shorty - Shorty's a bum and won't open any threads for anyone. (At least the last time I checked.)

I've had a number of times today where the joint just didn't open, but it works fine when it does. Maybe Max or Jeff, or maybe just has gas.......gawd knows there is plenty of hot air around here.

No probs with Mozilla 1.2b, Netscape 7, Netscape 4.7, Opera 5.11, Opera 6.05, Internet Explorer 5.5, Internet Explorer 6.0, Lynx 2.8.2

Btw, Bill D.
this is in Mozilla...a clone of Netscape 6 is not quite the truth. Newer Netscape versions (starting with 6) are based on the new Mozilla, not vice versa.

Netscape 6 is based on Mozilla 0.6
Netscape 6.1 is based on Mozilla 0.9.2.1
Netscape 6.2 is based on Mozilla 0.9.4.1
Netscape 7 is based on Mozilla 1.0.1

Mozilla 1.0 was considered the first stable release,
but in the meantime Mozilla exists in version 1.2beta,
with lots of bug fixes and more features.

Netscape is still at 7, based on Mozilla 1.0.1

Netscape is always some versions behind Mozilla...

I had a few times this morning (Pacific Time) when I couldn't get onto Mudcat at all for a while, but other than that I've had no problem today. I use Netscape 5.0 (I think) for Mac.

yep, Mudguard...I was being careless in my attribution..(was mostly trying to note similarities)....I 'try' to follow it all, but Mozilla, Beonex, Phoenix...etc., all being developed at the same time are a bit daunting!....and there seems to be a conspiracy to be SURE not all the good features get into any one creation...*grin*
