Fairly self-explanatory, in a bluegrass sorta way...btw, if you backtrack to the "post a picture" page, one of my minions is there... the silver angel.

I recently saw an old newsreel clip that had a "bass banjo" about that size. The obvious next step is to get them together in a band with a giant harmonica and one of them big stand up fiddles.

The newsreel clip rich r saw, I suppose, is the one featuring Duke Davis Banjo Band, filmed in 1929. It's on Time Ain't Like Tey Used To Be: Early American Rural & Popular Music (Yazoo 521) [Video/DVD]. Note says: "Henry 'Duke' Davis' Banjo Band was a working band in the Boston area, playing on local radio and college functions. Duke demonstrates his version of the world's largest banjo and leads the boys in a hot but brief renditions of 'Ida.'"

Yeah there's a clip on there of him doing three songs interspersed with some pretty stiff dialog. And a great clip of an old black banjo player, pickin and singin, surrounded by a handful of dancing grandchildren.

Art, yes, you're right. His only appearance on film. In this 9-minute-long film (1929) titled "The Singing Brakeman" Jimmy sang "Waiting for the Train," "Daddy and Home" and "Blue Yodel."
