To the tune of "Humoresque.

Was it you who did the pushin'. left the stains upon the cushion,
Footprints on the dashboard, upsidedown?
Was it you whose sly woodpecker, got into my girl Rebecca?
If it was, you'ld better leave this town.

Yes, twas I who did the pushin', left the stains upon the cushion,
Footprints on the dashboard upside down.
But since I got into your daughter, I've had trouble passing water.
Guess that makes us even all arround.

Curmudgeon got there first. I seem to recall that there was another vierse, however.

You can always follow these with the "Gentlemen will please refrain..." lyrics.

There are two sets of additional lyrics to this in the Digitrad.

Here's one.

Here's the other.

Oscar Brand recorded this as part two of Letters To and From A Young
Man on Bawdy Songs Go To College.Part one was:-

M is for the many times you made me,
O is for the other times you tried
T is for those tawdry frat house weekends,
H is for my hope to be a bride
E is for your everlasting passion
R is for the ruin you made of me
Put them all together, they spell mother
And thats just what I think I'm going to be

To which there is of course a reply

F is for your funny little letter
A is for the answer to your note
T is for the tearful sad occasion
H is for your hope I'll be the goat
E is for the ease with which I made you
R is for the rube you think I'll be

Put them all together they spell Father
But you'll never pin that label dear on me

On to further correspondence

Leadfingers -- This is a completely different song to a completely different tune. But this could be a good jumping off point for sharing more songs of this type -- Tom

I know It was recorded as 'letters to a young man'and is one of my sneaky 'only do one song' but I want to do two fiddles. If I undersood the midi bit I'd put the other tune on.

From: Charlie Baum

To the tune of "She'll be comin' round the mountain when she comes"
(which turns into a double entendre in this case)
I heard it years ago on a recording by Joe Mondo, who may well have been a very local Connceticut singer.

They'll be footprints in the dashboard upside down
They'll be footprints in the dashboard upside down
Won't your parents be disgusted/ when they see your cherry's busted
They'll be footprints in the dashboard upside down

They'll be footprints in the dashboard upside down
They'll be footprints in the dashboard upside down
O won't your folks be surprised when/ they see your belly risin'
They'll be footprints in the dashboard upside down

Upside down, Upsde down
They'll be footprints in the dashboard upside down
O your folks'll be flabbergasted/ when they meet the little bastard
They'll be footprints in the dashboard upside down

--Charlie Baum (a little bit red-faced that his brain retains stuff like this)
