The idea of "corporate entertainment" is firmly entrenched in the Japanese psyche, and so we were entertained to the point of exhaustion. Karaoke was a much needed break from eating and drinking, and a most solemn - but amusing diversion - particularly if you heard my boss sing! But i dearly hoped it would stay in Japan. |
