Festival Hiring Emerging Talent - Put some festival experience on your bio.

Attention Musicians / Bands / Singer Songwriters - The first deadline is coming up on Nov 15th for Winterfolk submissions from artists. Submissions which are postmarked on Nov 15th or before will qualify for a lower application amount. See the Winterfolk website for more details.

Opportunity is knocking. Winterfolk has created showcase opportunities for musicians! We are accepting applications to fill twenty performance spots in our festival. Put some festival experience on your bio - it will open many doors to advance your career, and offer great exposure for your music.

Toronto's newest folk, roots and blues festival is now accepting showcase submissions from emerging artists. "Winterfolk" takes place January 31 - February 2, 2003 at five prime downtown TO venues. The event will feature both new and established artists. Successful showcase applicants will receive a 45 minute performance, free passes to the festival, promotion and a chance at the Convocation Hall finale! If you have any questions or need more information, please visit the website at http://www.winterfolk.com
for more details, or email publicity@winterfolk.com with any questions. We look forward to reviewing your application.

For all you guitar players and blues lovers - the festival has just booked Josh White Jr.! Not only will Josh be performing two shows at Winterfolk, but he will be hosting some guitar instruction workshops and will demonstrate the blues guitar style of his dad, Josh White Sr. Don't miss it!

For the love of music,

Frank Geller

The Winterfolk looks interesting. But to my way-out-west-in-Kansas way of thinking, the NJ festival looks like a waste of time if you don't live in the NYC metro/Philly metro area. If you have any more of these things that are a little more--um--out in the provinces, dare I say, bring 'em on.

Well, it is a PA-based mail list, but it covers the whole east coast and beyond.
