Tech: Hey MD users!

Sick of using Sonys bloatware to copy songs to yer MDs? Tired of having THEM tell you what you can put on an MD and what you can't?

Get Nero... a CD burning suit and then click HERE for instructions how how to use it...

You'll never go back to OpenMG Jukebox again...

I don't know what Open MG is. I use Creative Recorder, since it came with the Sound Blaster to record via the Soundcard and output of the MD (R700 model). To burn I use not the Nero package, which wouldn't work, but Easy CD Creator 5. Works like a charm.

With the Soundcard came a software package which allows me to edit the WAV file created by the Recorder program. This allows me to boost the volume of the file, and break it up to create tracks on my CD. Easy stuff.

I'd settle for finding a store in my area that carries MD recorders!

For some information on Computers and Music, check out the website for the magazine Computer Music

It's chock full of tutorials, and with the magazine are complete programs on a CD, such as Cakewalk Plasma. They have programs for Windows as well as Mac machines.

MMario,
Is ordering online feasible for you?
I've done it enough to be comfortable and haven't been burned so far.
I order from the online presence of brick-and-mortar outfits or people I ordered from by phone in the old days.

I have used Nero at work to burn backup CDs and it is easy enough for me even...it shows you how much you have copied and you can take stuff off so you don't get the overflowing disk problem.

OpenMG Jukebox is the sony software used to 'check out' mp3s to your minidisc, so one does not need to record mixed MD in real time... Using Nero (or other CD burning software I'd imagine) and the NetMD Simple Burner MD software, one can easily and quickly create mixed MD's...

Enjoy...
