Nope, the one I'm looking for starts:

If you are talking about Fred's song "Waiting for the Snow" It is recorded on his album "The Ballad of Cappy John" on Castlebay records www.castlebay.net
The tune is kind of like "Rolling Down to Old Maui" or "The Miller of Dee"

Old thread bit not sure who wrote this song. I had it on cassette picked up at a colorado festival back in 1986 and the solo singer was named Lauterbach. Stephen Lauterbach I believe.

Loved it then and now.
