Do be aware that these are CD-Rs and not 'proper' CDs. They will only last 3 years at best.

Dear GUEST:

In your last post, you said 5 years. Now, you are claiming three years. If you would like to go start a thread of your own concerning media life-cycles please be my guest. I would appreciate it if you would refrain from smudging this thread up with uncertain and generalized negativity. It kinda pees in the soup, if you see what I mean.

Thanks,

A

3, 5 who really knows. See this thread.

I'm simply trying to give potential purchasers some useful information.

I apologise if the truth 'pees in your soup'

Fair enough -- I have no problems with truth. I admit to being prejudiced against negative remarks from anonymous pessimists. Sorry.

Yo, Amos. Like, how much US? I read $60 for the set. Is that the correct amount to send. Sorry, I'm sure this is somewhere but I don't have time ot patience to hunt.

And, GUEST is getting very cranky and thus... equally *ignorable*.

One CD = $15.00 in Yankee Dollah, Bobert.

Full set of all 5 = $60 in Yankee dollah.

Prices include shipping and handling.

Sorry for the omission.

Check this page on CD-R longevity.

Guest is, I believe, simply repeating stuff he's heard without checking the facts. I'd believed some of the misinformation myself. Some of the material I read at the site had estimates of the life of CD-Rs at from 70 to 217 years.

And that IS under optimal storage conditions. (But we have control over those factors.)

And, Dick said this CD is garrundammteed. If you wear it out, he will replace it for free.

Well, to be honest, the "facts" at that page are estimates based on scientific information, but you can't beat a garrundammtee!

Are they the CDs or the local folkies that still work perfectley, John9?

And if they were Hull9 folkies, did they get three years hard labour?

:-)

Sorcha --

The thread title is a bit confusing, isn't it? LEJ would understand. It's the classic Western Movie ending, particularly "High Noon", 1952, one of the four best Westerns ever produced.

But anyway, glad you pulled all the loose ends together.

So if ORDERING is what you're about, gang, because you want your CDs for CHRISTMAS, why all the data you need is here but ALSO can be found under a more comprehensible title over on this thread.

Roll those orders!! Shipping starts next week!!! Don't delay!!
