I am sure it is alive and well in Scouting. It travels well as others have pointed out. I later used at Camp Greylock, Beckett, Mass. in the Summer of 1970 and with Woodcraft Folk in Manchester and still offer it as part of an Infant worm collecting science activity in schools.(P) I have been reliable informed that if a circle of people stand on damp grass and stamp, worms will come to the surface.
