They all charge 1p/minute for dial-up access. If they charge for access, don't bother. There's also some "unlimited time" deals, mainly done by the cable companies. NTL do unlimited time dial-up for £10/month, which breaks even with normal dial-up at 17 hours a month (average 32 minutes a day). If you tend to log on several times in a week and spend more than an hour connected each time, it's worth considering this; if not, don't bother. Graham. |
