Any locals who'd like to play? (Rochester NY)

From: Lee

I'm near Rochester, New York (USA) (Gates, actually), getting back into folk after nearly 20 years off spent in other activities (parenting, church music, storytelling). I'm looking for people to practice with, maybe even perform with. I tend to favor the light, though I do play some political and old timey, with original tunes tossed in - Mama Don't (al)low, I've Just Seen A Face, The Scotsman, Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport, Psychotherapy, The Shower Song, Deportee, etc. Think of an Arlo Guthrie kind of set. Any Mudcatters in my area?

Hey, check your map for Tioga County PA. We do Mudcat Gatherings and weekend-long pickin' parties, plus a monthly jam.

I've been under the impression that the Rochester Folk scene is pretty active. Check out the Golden Link. Or try contacting Mitzie Collins at Sampler Records.
