05 Dec 02 - 09:50 AM (#841356) Subject: BS: Sun Inn, Beverley (UK) wins award From: Sir Roger de Beverley It has just been announced that the Sun Inn, Beverley has been voted CAMRA (Campaign for real ale - East Yorkshire branch) pub of the year 2002/3. This award is due in no small part to the folk/acoustic sessions and events that we have staged there over the last year. Steve, the licensee, sends his thanks to all Mudcatters who have performed there in that time. ps I'm playing there on Sunday night. Tuesday 10th is the acoustic workshop and Tom and I are playing there again on Wednesday night. |

Where else does a licensee give sessions musicians free beer and food and pay out every week for acoustic acts to perform free for the locals. True, I have encouraged him but the will had to be there. Rog |
