Music in Belfast on Sunday night?

I will be in Belfast (Northern Ireland, UK, not Maine) next week, and will be at a loose end on Sunday night. Any suggestions as to where there might be some interesting live music (folkish, preferably)?

Not a good night, Buck. I think maybe the Botanic still has a folkish session on Sunday evenings, but check. Can't think of anything else -at least I've brought your thread back to the top.

There used to be a session in the John Hewitt Bar but it may have finished.

Sunday night there is a folk club, mainly singing, in the Hercules Bar in Castle Street which is convenient to Belfast city centre. Starts about 8.30 or 9.00. They tell me that the front door closes early but if you rap someone will hear you. One of the organisers is Francis McPeake.

I think the John Hewitt session (if it still goes on) might be Sunuday afternoon or early evening?

I think the singers session in Holywood (about 15 mins in the train), not far from Belfast...... was on a sunday night...

Thanks all - as it turned out Belfast office-mates had other plans for me anyway. Maybe next time.
