14 Dec 02 - 05:09 AM (#847224) Subject: Genuine folk song From: Lee Last night on PBS I tuned in to a folk music fundraiser just in time to hear a song - but I didn't get the name of the group or the name of the song! The show was hosted by the Smothers Brothers. I think the group's name may have been the Limelighters (or Hilighters?) and the song was "a genuine folk song" gently mocking out the standard format of a folk song (This is the first verse....This is the Bridge...etc.). Anyone know anything about this song and where I can get the lyrics and chords? Thanks - Lee |
