CHORUS: Pump away
They say that she lays waiting in the harbor
Ch: Pump away
They say that she lays waiting at anchor
Ch: 3rd line repeats - To take us o'er the bounding main
They say that she is ready in the harbor Another one that I believe is from the Northern Europe-Baltic-Scandinavian trades, where the sail-cargo industry was still going strong up to the start of WWII. I know the Albertina is already in the DT, but this version's different & English, rather than a translation. Barry |
