Merry Christmas all! I have just been reading some sayings about Christmas and I thought I would share some. Please Share any of yours!

Blessed is the season,
which engages the whole world
in a conspiracy of love.
Hamilton Wright Mable

For somehow,
not only at Christmas
but all the year through,
The joy that you give to others,
is the joy that comes back to you.
John Greenleaf Wittier

The only real blind person at Christmas
is he who has not Christmas in his heart.
Hellen Keller

Superstitions;
To have good health throughout the year
eat an apple on Christmas eve.
On Christmas eve animals can speak,
but it is bad luck to test this superstition!

May peace, love and laughter be with you throughout this holiday season and the new year to come. Rustic

How about the oft-heard, "Glad it only comes once a year!" ;)

Custom:
Adults open their presents on Xmas eve to be out of the way of the kids in the morning.

Superstition:
Eat well on Xmas and New Year's Day and you'll do so the rest of the year. In my area, that meant black eyed peas, pork chops and mashed turnips. I've heard the idea came from Africa.
