Just before the Christmas Eve Service, Kelson (age 18) sighed and said he wasn't lookin forward to hearing Silent Night When I asked why, he said that ever since he heard it when he was very small, that line about the holy infant so "tender and mild" made him think of chicken wings.

Oh. I always thought of washing up liquid at that point! Well, on "mild" anyway!

I'm nearly 19.

when I first heard the song back in the 1930s ,when they sang (round yon virgin) I thought they said (round the barnyard)I guess because Jesus was suppose to have been born in a manger

I too think of food but not chicken wings. What good is a mild wing any way?

What I think of are those Heavenly Peas, as in Sleep in Heavenly Peas.

Coffee through the nose time. I needed a laugh. Now I understand where all the rumors came from about Catholics sacrificing infants. Though I never heard of them serving them up with blue cheese dressing. Make mine Extra Crispy.
