Does any one from Mudcat go to this? or will they be going to the next one (weekend of June 21 2003) I would be very interested to know. Cllr

Free festivals always get my attention, but alas, I cannot go. I have a gig on the 22nd. (seriously!)

Yes, there are quite a few Mudcatters who attend. Those I can think of offhand are myself (radriano), chanteyranger, riggy, toadfrog, and sharyn.

The festival is run by the San Francisco Folk Club and is entirely free.

I live there but I'm a mole and never see the light of day. When and where?

Here's a link to the Festival's website:

SF Free Folk Festival

The site will be updated with info on 2003 so save the link.

I'm afraid I'll probably be out of town again this year--my most profitable RenFaire has expanded their dates, drat 'em.

A number of Mudcats (including most of those named by radriano) have performed and/or lead workshops there. We were lucky enough to be onstage there the year before last and had a great time. Lots of good music, good folks, good friends.

The big treat, of course, is being near Faith Petric.

Go do it. You'll be glad you did.
