03 Jan 03 - 06:52 PM (#858073) Subject: BS: Weapons to Plowshares(well, prostheses) From: Tinker There is continuing movement in the attempt to transfer the Russian nuclear weapons laboratory Chelyabinsk-70 near Snezhinsk to producing a new "smart leg" protheses which would be more affordable for third world needs. More on the project can be found here . The project has moved steadily forward and is now facing the final stages of "birthing pains". Any and all positive thoughts at a time when the it's too easy to get stuck in the mire would be greatly appreciated. Tinker |
