BS: Cat on TV

I was hunting around today for advice on a new TV, and I came across this on an English user review site - and I thought you might like it.

It was a pretty enthusiastic review, but then it came to the Bad Points bit, and they had to admit it wasn't perfect...

Bad Points:
The top of the telly slopes from front to back so the cat keeps sliding down the back. Very funny to watch but she is not impressed.

Does the cat come with the TV, or do you have to provide your own? Sounds like an interesting alternative to watching the actual TV shows.

Awww and I thought this thread was going to be about Cat STEVENS on TV - maybe explaining about that moon and star on his head...

I thought it was Cat Stevens sliding off the back of the TV. . . .

That sounds horribly familiar...

We had to build a shelf so the cat would sit on that... instead she squeezes herself into the space between the two!

What about the penguin?

Here y'are, open mike. It turns into quite a discussion actually. The Finnish contribution is a bit weird...

What amused me was that, as you'll see if you try that link, this is a perfectly serious site about the pros and cons of various TV sets and so forth - and suddenly this cat slides in and disrupts it.

Monty Python did this bit first. Except it was sex on the TV.

The Monty Python bit I remember was a penguin.

Day-liah you are obsessed with Cat Stevens. One formerly-hungry-street-urchin-now-quitting-smoking to another, get help. I'm here for you.

I thought this was going to be about a low-budget reality show.

McGrath, you've gone too far! Being a curmudgeon, I am not given to audible laughter. But when I read the comments on that site, I came undone -- Tom

My dear wife insists on having an indoor plant on top of the TV and then over-waters it.

We have blown-up about three TVs so far.

My PC is my TV and nothing is flat on that including the screen. But the pro is that I don't have a cat either.

Mind you if the cat sat on the VCR you could be kind to mog and hit the slow motion button or (ducks and runs for cover) the "paws" button

I thought this was going to be about the commercial where the birds call the cat, and the cat runs up to the sliding glass door and is flattened out and slides down the window. Then a women cleans the window and the cat does it all over again. I thought that was a pretty amusing commercial.
Peace, Rustic

We don't have a TV, so our poor cat has to warm up on top of the computer monitor. We work together well, but occasionally his tail falls down over the screen.

You should see the avant-garde chords he produces when he steps down onto the synthesizer while Noteworthy is on.

Ieeneia, my cat used to do that. Now he's cross with me for buying a TFT monitor ...

One of our cats took to spraying the PC. We had desperate struggles making sure he was never left in the room with it.

We decided it was because we had that Catz program, which has the kittens playing all over the screen and making a fair old row, and he was showing them who was boss.

My cat wouldn't fit on top of my TV - there are too many things on top - video, ornaments - and thank the goddess she shows no interest in my computer. No, her permanent resting place is on top of the fish tank, stretched out along the gro-lite. Strangely, she does not seem the slightest bit interested in the fish. They would be protected by the glass cover anyway.
