The FBI issued this flyer in Arizona, to assist local law in looking for 'terrorists'...couple of years ago, before things REALLY heated up. These are large JPGs and take a while to download, but look at them. I guarantee you are on this flyer. If you are American, your FBI considers you to be a terrorist: http://www.keepandbeararms.com/images/FBI-MCSOTerroristFlyer-Front.jpg http://www.keepandbeararms.com/images/FBI-MCSOTerroristFlyer-Back.jpg |

These were handed out by FBI around the country and got immediate bad PR, so they were withdrawn. But this one was forwarded to the gun right's organization and preserved, thank goodness. In Snopes, however, I couldn't stop reading when I got to the Rumors of War section, where they recount claims and whether they are true or easily refuted. Fascinating stuff. For instance, a number of times on the 'Cat posters have said that the bin Laden family (20 people) was gathered from all across the US and flown home to Saudi Arabia in a secret flight, just two or three days after Sept. 11. Evidently Michael Moore, the columnist, (alter ego of Rush Limbaugh!) publicized such a claim. Not true. The various family members (5 in all) were flown home at Saudi government expense on September 18th. |

08 Jan 03 - 11:31 PM (#862236) Subject: RE: BS: Are you a Terrorist? From: MikeOQuinn Heh... I took an Irish flute of mine in to get repaired (recently purchased on eBay, knowing that it had a headjoint crack, etc...) The repairs guy at Brook Mays here took a little light and looked down inside the flute. We both saw (he wanted to make sure he wasn't seeing things) what looked like a little green wire sticking out of one key, which neither of us could find after he pressed the key (probably tarnish that had been on there long enough to develop cohesiveness, but I swear it looked like a little wire, and so does he). Anyhoo, I looked at him and said - very quietly so as not to create concern, and through a hearty laugh - "Ack! It's a bomb! Run!" He set it down, looked at it, told me I should have mentioned that I purchased it from an IRA member, and - laughing like he hasn't had reason to in entirely too long - took off running in the other direction. Maybe not so funny to some, but he and I both got a good laugh out of that. So did the other guy in the repair room. Just my $0.02 -J |

09 Jan 03 - 04:22 PM (#862981) Subject: RE: BS: Are you a Terrorist? From: McGrath of Harlow So five member of the Bin Laden family were gathered together and flown home a few days after September 11. Doesn't sound too surprising, and it doesn't sound too inconsistent with the suggestion that a few others might have been as well. Twenty members in the States isn't that large a nunber in an extremely wealthy extended family, after all. And getting home and away from the United Sattes woudl have been a pretty natural thing to want in the circumstances. Not that important either way. But Michael Moore strikes me as one person Americans have good reason to be proud of. |

09 Jan 03 - 06:42 PM (#863057) Subject: RE: BS: Are you a Terrorist? From: GUEST The problem is the bin Ladens are business partners with the Bushes. GW's first project after college was with Ossama's brother. He and GW founded Arbusto Oil in Texas. It went bankrupt, of course, but the boys were given some chump change by their daddies to play with, just to get their feet wet. The bin Ladens and the Bushes VACATION together! GW RESCUED THE BIN LADENS IN AMERICA ON SEPTEMBER 12. IT ISSSSS A BIG DEAL. There are a THOUSAND smoking guns surrounding Sept. 11. The Rockefellers built the WTC along with the NY Port Authority. The Rockefellers were the owners of the complex for 40+ years, until a month before the attacks, when they sold all interests in the real estate. They KNEW the attacks were coming. The # 3 man in the CIA...Buzzy Krongard...was a former VP at Deutschebank, and that bank purchased a Wall Street RECORD number of put options on United and American Airlines the week before Sept. 11. A RECORD NUMBER of put options...betting AGAINST the two airlines that would be used in the hijackings. There are HUNDREDS of smoking guns, but Dick Cheney THREATENED MORE TERRORIST ATTACKS IF INVESTIGATIONS WERE CONDUCTED! GWBush MURDERED 3,000 PEOPLE ON SEPT. 11, and Americans are so STUPID that the country is now rallying behind THE VERY PEOPLE WHO ARE THE TERRORISTS! WAKE UP! Rule #1 at the concentration camps will be to separate families. Buy guns now or say goodbye to your families. It is THAT serious, folks. www.infowars.com |

11 Jan 03 - 02:05 AM (#864180) Subject: RE: BS: Are you a Terrorist? From: leprechaun I'm reconsidering the design of my alumnium foil hat. The first version was more like a yarmulke, just a beanie kind of design. But I saw some in a movie that had a long point formed at the top. That got me to thinking. Would that capture and deflect the evil rays from above better that just the beanie shape? Or maybe a specially rounded lip, curving just slightly up around the crown, in additon to the long tapered point, would dispurse the evil rays more effectively. A sort of feng shui type of strategy for aluminum hats. I'm wondering what the rest of you have found to be most effective. Any suggestions GUEST? Little Hawk? |

From: Ebbie Or maybe a specially rounded lip, curving just slightly up around the crown, in additon to the long tapered point, would dispurse the evil rays more effectively. Leprechaun, the perfect design came to me in a flash: Instead of a 'rounded lip', purse it! If, in addition, you keep your own lips in a pursed state, its effectiveness is almost guaranteed. (If you stay in a whistling frame of mind, it won't be difficult to train yourself in this matter.) Other than this improvement, I think your own design is excellent, and I'm sure it has been working. Alumin(i)um foil is a wonderfully effective choice- not only is it unfailingly malleable, but evil things bounce right off, given a little assistance with the proper design. |
