It was asking about this song that brought me to Mudcat in the first place. But the John Huston film of "The Dead" is available on video, and Frank Patterson's version of it is as far as I know available on a record, so maybe you could try looking in that direction if no-one else here comes up with better advice. |

I think its on the Silly Sisters album sung by June Tabor/Maddy Prior. The Lass of Aughrim tune is a variant of the tune used on this recording. I've heard that version sung occasionally but the only recording I can think of is the Frank Patterson one in "The Dead" as APC has already suggested. |
