Best know for his film scores of which he composed more than 60. These include "633 Squadron"; "Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines"; "Where Eagles Dare" and "The Battle of Britain" among many others. Over the years he appeared with many symphony orchestras and in his long career won three "Ivor Novello" Awards. |
