She says people can still apply but she needs to get a food count in ASAP. So please if you are on the fence sign up. It is really great fun and the food is quite good. Oh yes, and the music. Her number is 425-747-7655. Give her a call..or email but I don't have that handy. Google search Seattle Rainy Camp and you'll get the exact dates etc. mg |

15 Jan 03 - 12:39 AM (#867145) Subject: RE: BS: RAINYCAMP STILL ROOM From: reggie miles Last year I just showed up to check and see if there was still an open spot where someone who was suppose to show and didn't. I had heard via the threads here that there might be a chance to get a free tuition at the camp in exchange for my labor/help around the place. They told me the spot was taken when I got there but that it was ok to hang out for while. I did and caught a little of the blues workshop where I offered a song or two. I also caught a little of a couple other workshops. I was dying to play some musical saw with one of the women singing at one workshop but hesitated not knowing if it was acceptable to just jump in and do so. Later I left to take in the Maltby bluegrass potluck/jam at the grange hall there. What a great finish to the day but a shame at the same time that both events were happening on the same weekend. I think I'm beginning to see the advantages of cloning. ;~) Is anyone saying what weekend this event is taking place? |

15 Jan 03 - 03:24 AM (#867196) Subject: RE: BS: RAINYCAMP STILL ROOM From: Genie Yes, folks, it's Feb. 7-9. Got my confirmation letter right here. Last year I was the one who cancelled last minute due to illness and left a work scholarship up for grabs. I ain't gonna get sick this year. On the other hand, I don't have a scholarship to hand off to anyone, either. But call Jean Smith, Reggie. She'll put you on the waiting list for those. She's at neeej@aol.com Genie |

24 Jan 03 - 05:16 PM (#874127) Subject: RE: BS: RAINYCAMP STILL ROOM From: Genie Seems to me that last year Jean told me she needed the head count for food prep purposes a week ahead of time. If that's the case, this weekend might not be too late to sign up. I know that one person recently cancelled, and that may bear on space availability, too. Never too late to call Jean about it. People sometimes cancel at the last minute. Genie |
