There are a number of events taking place such as:- battles meet the vikings evening with the vikings including drinking (of course!), norse ballads, etc traditional viking wedding viking walks along river ouse continental market more FOOD n DRINK!!!! saga night (self explanatory with lots of FOOD n DRINK) viking raiders, traders and settlers craft market longship river challenge viking workshops It ends with Death in the Dark which is a battle between two viking forces. Basically if you're into norse mythology, music, food, DRINK, vikings, violence etc a good time will be had by all. If you want a break from the vikings there's always the rest of York to look around. If you don't enjoy it we comes and beats you up (with big clubs). My son Liam is doing Vikings for his primary school project at the moment and we're off to Norway in April so it fits in nicely.
