Gypsy In My Soul Written by: Moe Jaffe / Clay Boland If I am fancy free And love to wander It's just the gypsy in my soul There's something calling me From way out yonder It's just the gypsy in my soul I've got to give in To my emotions I'm only content Havin' my way There is no other life Of which I'm fonder It's just the gypsy in my soul No cares No strings My heart Has wings If I am fancy free And love to wander It's just the gypsy in my soul |

14 Jan 03 - 11:35 PM (#867124) Subject: Chord Req: The Gypsy In My Soul From: Genie Here's one correction of the lyric. It's an easy "mondegreen," but the actual lyric in the bridge is: I've got to give vent to my emotions, I'm only content having my way. |

16 Jan 03 - 04:33 AM (#868083) Subject: RE: Chord Req: gypsy in my soul From: GUEST,MCP Thanks Pete. Give Steve my best wishes. I've also just noticed the penultimate chord in the last bar of the bridge was meant to be Bbm11 (to C7b5), not Cm11. Mick

17 Jan 03 - 01:39 PM (#868906) Subject: RE: Chord Req: gypsy in my soul From: GUEST,MCP Thanks Joe. However, as I lay in bed last night, waiting to go to sleep, it occurred to me in the way that things do, that what I meant was Gm11 (to C7b5). And now I find you've made my last (incorrect) correction. Sorry! Mick |
