Lyr Req: Old Bally Mo

I'm looking for the lyrics to this song which starts out:

In the county Roscommon in the hailstorm and rain
I was crossing the fields on my way to the train.
I met a coleen and said she 'Do you know
The shortest short road into Old Bally Mo?'

I know it was recorded back in the late 40s, early 50s - my Mom had a 78rpm recording on the 'Celtic' label.

I've searched the places I know, but have had no luck. Thanks.

I have a CD by the Sean O'Neill Band Album "Irish Songs of Wit and Wisdom" Erin Records, Belfast (1994). It was purchased last year from an on line shop, I believe, in Boston along with other Sean O'Neill CDs. I don't have the files sorted. The lyrics are here on Mudcat under the subject "In the County Roscommon" from Wolfgang
25 February 1999.   Ed

The is a another verse at the conclusion of Old Ballymoe on Sean O'Neill version:

In the County Roscommon in the hailstorms and rain
If you're crossing the fields on your way to the train
Beware of a colleen that you don't know
She might well have been married in Old Ballymoe

The "Wit and Wisdom" album has other gems e.g. "If you don't bring home the bacon, you'll get treated like a pig", "McGee on the Moon", "A Young Woman of Ninety" and "Don't Call Me Early in the Morning." It was purchased from Irish Records International (Pembroke, Mass.)
At "http://www.irishrecords.com/seanoneill.html"    Incidently, the Cassette of the album is on sale for $5.49 -

I did the ABC Notation on the first verse, so I might as well post it.    There are a few flaws in the timing, but it's only my second attempt at ABC notes.   The tune is similar to "The Old Orange Flute." Ed
