There are seven earlier discussions, which you can find by typing casadh into the "Filter" box on the main Forum page, setting the "Age" box to all, and clicking the "Refresh" button. Normally I would advise you to use the onsite search engine, but it's not working properly just at present. |

In one of the other threads you'll find a rough and ready translation by me of MÓD's first verse. In the second line of the last verse ('S do Dhéanfainn obair shocair ... on the site linked to above) MÓD sings "Is sheolfainn na nGamna ar an dtalamh is seibhre a bhfaighidís féir" which translates roughly as "I'd direct the calves to the richest land where they'd find grass". If I get the time I'll try to post the version as Mícheál sings it to the main thread on this. |

It happens all the time in the Gaelic songs, since many of them are long (15+) verses. It might help if you specified who sang the particular version of the song you heard. |
