Anyone know where I can find the lyrics to this spoken song on the Sunsets I've Galloped Into cd? They are not in the cd and I have looked everywhere I can think of. Thanks,

I havent got that CD but I like A.F. I'm intrigued- if you have the CD why don't you write the words out? I've spent 15mins yesterday taking notes from an old vinyl LP which is a lot harder.

His accent is so thick on this one you'd never be able to transcribe it or even come close to getting it right. thanks for the reply tho.

It's not a song, it's a poem, recited as such on the CD. And it's not Archie's, if I recall correctly. I'm at work now, but will check when I get home. I seem to remember that there is a citation of the poet and some info on the poem in Archie's liner notes. It's a lovely thing. Guess I'm used to Archie's accent; I understand every word. Kathy

Kath,

The booklet to the Greentrax CD attribute it to Fisher. There is no note in the booklet, just '"The Black Horse" Archie Fisher vocals/words'. The back of the CD reads: 'Many of the landmarks of my adopted Borders homeland are mentioned on "The Black Horse", a song without a melody'.

Shows you that I CLEARLY need "that ginko stuff"! Thanks, Stewie, for setting me straight with REAL facts straight from the CD. That'll teach me to rely on my middle-aged memory........ Kath
