Guru with EL Greko on Harmony vocals doing 'Thaney' is very good, look forward to it tomorrow night - Sat 8th Feb - at the Blue Anchor, Fishpool Street, St Albans.
Can guru make bedford on Thurs?
Do a one song floor spot.

On guest nights at bedford Mike doesn't have floor spots, its usually just him doing an intro, then a short support spot then the main artist. It willl be lovley to see fellow mudcatters at bedford on thursday but i wouldn't want anyone to be disappointed.Cllr

No problem Cllr, am coming to Bedford, but wasn't thinking of floor-spootting, think he's just shooting the Breeze!

Trevor: You'll be very welcome, small or large, no problem! Do you know Barton? Postcode is: MK45 4LL & Barton-le-Clay is just off the A6 between Luton & Bedford.

Breezy: Will try to entice El Greko into the car park first - as long as it isn't raining :-) See you tonight - Is Paul at the Bar coming?

What Guru did may be defined as 'inappropriate' in some social circles, but to us she is a hero.

No, I've re-read the thread & I still don't know what I'm doing! No change there then :-)

Will be keeping my fingers crossed tonight for Malinky to win 'Best Original Song' tonight. Luckily I don't play an instrument *g*

didnt think I was too far off it when I first heArd you do it in the street.
That was the key you are now in and in which you did it last nite.
The problem is the song has to be undestood to be fully apprecaited and I think you communicate it better than th original cos the dialect aint such a barrier.
As its a 'ballad', it opens up the debate as to whether it qualifies to be classified as a 'Song'
Can you put/insert Harvey andrews on the 20th June on the club flyer?
my 'Word' has been attacked and I'm stuck for a master copy of April- June prog for the printers.

Breezy: Hmm, is that the flyer with my name all over it? Will look.... Yes, we think it's pitched right now - was El Greko really playing guitar through it yesterdy? I didn't hear him at all! You going to Herga tonight?

Thank you guru,
I'll do whatever you say!
Wrists healing nicely, how about yours piers?
do like Alan's bass voice how can we get him to Blue anchor for 3rd Tuesday, chorus night?
Well met cllr, St Albans aint that far really for a once a month visit, and the possiblities of shanties!
Hope to have song good chorus inputs on Thursday at Bedford Folk Club, but let us deter Alan from erecting his stand during the songs!

Thank you too Breezy, encouragement helps tremendously but assistance sometimes hinders. Piers' youthful exuberance is quite understandable! Now, if I could ever get enough confidence & experience to endure distractions I'd be dangerous!!! Thursday is a year on from losing my Dad so I'm looking forward to a 'jolly' night at Bedford. Hope you & Papa-G put on a good show :-) Will try not to get too lost....

Alan can be quite base but it would be good to get him out for a chorus session.
