13 Jul 98 - 10:09 AM (#32437) Subject: Who was that artist?? From: Charles Meyrick I'm trying to recall the name of an artist whose album I had nearly 30 years ago. Here's what I can recall about the album: 1. Pete Kleinow ("Sneaky Pete") played backup on at least some of the songs. 2. In particular, Kleinow played backup on a cover of "What A Friend We Have In Jesus", doing an extended solo on his pedal-steel guitar that was simply amazing. 3. The artist whose album it was was a man who sang in a very high, nearly falsetto, voice. 4. The cover photo showed the singer wearing a broad-brimmed, flat-brimmed, black hat. There may have been a barn in the background. Not much to go on... Does anyone out there recall the album, the singer? Thanks! Charles Meyrick |

The artist's name was JOHN BRADDON. I have been unable to locate a copy of the album after some fairly strenuous web-crawling. Does anyone recall this singer? What became of him? Any idea where I can get a copy of the album? Many thanks. Chuck |
