Heck, Jeanie - I thought those were horse shoes and couldn't figure out why he needs 6 of them (unless he's in for enhancement surgery). BUT if they're gin glasses ... all is made CLEAR.

Get well, ya ol' warhorse.

Ye Gods. Me very own thread. I had to have a very nasty experience to get it, but with all those well wishes it was damn nearly worth it!
Just to fill you in, and to avoid telling & re-telling, it went something like this......
Dec 31st. Had nice routine op to remove gall bladder. All went well.
Jan 24th. Went to Gloucester Cajun/Zydeco Festival as a treat for wifes 50th birthday. Sunday wife was very sick with tummy bug, so we came home early. Later that eve I got took sick.
Phoned doc early morn (Mon) Take 2 asprin etc. was advice given.
Jan 30th. (my 56th birthday) Finally got a visit from doc. Taken to hospital for observation etc.
Jan 31st. Opened me up to find gangrenous appendix & infected bowel section, removed sucessfully (just in time, so I'm told)
Feb 11th. Sent me home as they had gotten all I was going to donate to science this time round.

Thanks lots for all your concern & well wishes, I shall now attempt to sneak into chat room for dispensation of gin.........
